Fyrd

Game

Fyrd is 2D turn-based puzzle game heavily inspired by 2048, with a medieval theme where instead of numbers, you merge armies to defend you kingdom from an invading force.

Rules

You can slide the board every turn to rally an army big enough to destroy your enemies, but only your troops are affected.

The enemies will move individually, on their own accord, once every few turns. Every time an enemy moves to one of the tiles, it will pillage it.

A pillaged tile does not produce any other pieces for you. You can repair the pillaged tiles by moving an army of your on it, but pay attention, because your army must end its turn on that tile, not just move through it.

Goal

The goal of the game is to accumulate as many points as you can by rallying troops, repairing pillaged tiles and defeating enemies. The game ends when there are less than half non-pillaged tiles on the board.

Controls

You can play with either WASD or the Arrow keys to slide the pieces.

The menus and buttons can be used with a mouse.
